A Welcome Home Dinner

Danna was one of my first instructors at the Wine School, and has remained a good friend over the years. We have stayed close, even after she married and moved to Texas. She is coming back this week for a visit. She had twins about eight months ago, and this is the first time I have gotten to see them.

No surprise that I we are celebrating with a big dinner. It might suprise some folks that I created the six-course meal around   ”eating things that eat babies”

Here’s the menu:

Carmelized Oyster Mushrooms with a Lobster Reduction

Grilled Alligator and Fig Kebob, scented with ginger.

Fresh Rabbit Sausage, with a balsamic reduction.

Grilled Shark, with capers and green onions

A Caviar Cappuccino, with nigella seeds.

Triple Cream Goats Cheese with fresh figs.

Maybe lobsters, goats, and bunnies don’t eat babies. You got me there. I think it will be a great meal, anyways.
